Alpaca Breeder Farm
We have a small farm located northwest of Delaware, Ohio where we reside with our 22 alpacas, one guard llama named Ace, one dog named Inca and a whole bunch of cats that are referred to as Tail, Nose, Skunk and other descriptive names too many to mention.
We have beautiful alpacas representing many great bloodline such as Accoyos Don Quejote, Avenger, Grand Master, El Nino, The Last Don, and then we have Royal Fawn, Whiteout and the list goes on. We started with three foundation females with two of the three proven to be great producers. We started out thinking we wanted whites and light fawns only, but have since realized that color in the pasture is desirable so we are breeding to gain some diversity to offset the whites. And sometimes the color just shows up as it did with two of our males out of white and light fawn -- light brown and dark fawn.
Our business plan was based on 50/50 male/female ratio, but that has not worked out. The last 10 births on our farm have been males, and that is a problem we are dealing with at present. We must move some of our little boys even though they have great bloodlines and are quite perfect. So we are offering some great deals on male yearlings.
We enjoy every minute with our alpacas, and the guests coming to visit our alpaca farm shop always stop in to get alpaca kisses. Our shop and farm is open Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. year round with someone always here to welcome guests, no appointment necessary.
We have a full Accoyo named Blue Jacket, and he is truly a mascot. Although he is a big boy, he always comes running to greet visitors.
Thanks for your interest, Judy & Bob
