Alpaca Breeder Farm
We are a small family farm in Middleport, NY which is 20 minutes south of Lake Ontario and right next to the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge. We are 5 minutes from the Tonawanda Indian Reservation and in the heart of apple country. We are 15 minutes north of the I-90 at exit 48A.
All our alpacas are ARI registered, BVD free and health checked with monthly wormings. We purchased our first 3 females and 3 geldings in 2008. Since then our numbers have grown to 45.
We welcome individuals and groups to visit the farm and farm store. On the farm you will find our 45 Alpacas, 2 Great White Pyrenees dogs who protect them, and 30 something fancy silkie and easter egger chickens.
We are happy to share our stress free lifestyle of alpaca ranching. Mary Ann has demos in the farm store of all the wonderful things that can be created with alpaca fiber. Alpaca fiber is three times warmer than wool and ten times softer, soft as cashmere, and is hypo-allergenic and contains no lanolin.
We have an indoor farm store. The store is stocked with Alpaca products from local, national, and Peruvian artisans. Mary Ann will demonstrate needle felting, wet felting, knitting on a loom, or crocheting. We have yarn, rovings and raw fiber from our animals available to purchase. We have just become babe spinning wheel dealers www.babesfibergarden.com Mary Ann teaches spinning classes with wheels to use for $10 each. Call for details
