ALPACAS MAKE YOU HAPPY !!

After four years of learning about alpacas, by atending shows and visiting alpaca farms in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, we finally decided to invest in our own alpacas.

A close-knit family, we operate two farms in Southwestern Ohio, about twenty miles north of Cincinnati. Our farm has been in the family for many years, dating back to the middle of the nineteenth century. We needed something to supplement our farm income. So, Sally and Mary Francis -- with the help of their father John -- bought two bred Huacaya females in April 2003.

Situated on the corner of St. Rt.126 and Morgan-Ross Road, we are in the process of making many small rotational pastures for the animals to feed in and also to be seen by the passing motorists. Our location is the inspiration for the name "Alpaca Corner" and for our logo.

In addition to their alpaca business, Sally and Mary own and operate the "Periwinkle House", an antique and gift shop in the nearby village of Shandon. John has been retired from banking for a number of years and has been interested in helping the girls with their alpaca project.

We would love for you to visit Alpaca Corner. It would be best that you call before you come, just to make sure one of us can meet with you and show you our alpacas. Our motto says, "Alpacas Make you Happy"! Hope to see you soon!!

The Periwinkle House, our farm store, is located in Shandon, Ohio, and stocks many items made of alpaca fiber. Our inventory is filled with sweaters, gloves, socks, caps, scarves and other smaller items too numerous to mention. The store is located at the intersection of St Rt 126 and St Rt 748. We are open each day at 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM except Monday. We have been in business for 23 years and have acquired the knowledge of dealing with the astute buyer.
