Welcome to Crown Point Alpaca Farm at THE GREEN ALPACA!

Having been in the business now since 2003, we have seen our dream of having an alpaca farm grow into many directions. We are a multi-faceted Green Farm. Our Farm grew quickly and as it grew it became clear to me that so much more was needed in the industry and to support farming and farmers in general. We wanted to encourage families to become FARMILIES!!!
Early on plans were made to establish not only a loving home for the alpacas but also for other warm blooded creatures. We have worked side by side and with great passion with our local and federal organizations to provide opportunities for people to come to our farm and learn.
We now offer Yurt rentals, so that if you are considering the “alpaca lifestyle” you can try before you buy”…. We all know that a substantial investment is required to start your own alpaca farm and it is a big decision. There is nothing like actually experiencing farm life first hand. We will walk you through alpaca training the Camelidynamics way, husbandry and alpaca care, and include all aspects "the business side" of the alpaca industry.Including marketing.We will help you get set up in every direction.

While you are here, you can tour our emerging nature center, as we are building our gardens and trails. (More on this later)

We have found that farm life is wonderful, busy, and richly rewarding and we want to share this with others.
What do Yurts and Alpacas have in common? For some reason they make us FEEL GOOD! They are both known to reduce blood pressure, promote a sense of well being… And secondly they are both of ancient origin. The first Yurts were actually fiber/felt covered domes. Families would felt their life stories into felted panels and hang them on the walls. They were colorful and beautiful and were treasured as they were passed down from family to family.

We look forward to this type of tradition to grace our Yurt here at the green alpac Humans have entwined their lives with alpacas for centuries. As if woven through the threads of time, we are still captivated by the alpaca. We at Crown Point Alpaca Farm endeavor to walk along this ancient path, using the wisdom of the past to build a solid foundation for the future.
