Alpaca Breeder Farm
We began our alpaca farm with a small foundation herd of 3 proven females four years ago. Our plan included becoming part of a national and local effort to genetically advance the quality of fleece and conformation of our North American herd of alpacas. The bloodlines of our foundation herd included pure pervian genetics from Snowmass Condinar, Augusto and Goldrush. In our breeding program, we then sought out to improve on our herd's genetics by adding the bloodlines from the award-winning herdsires of our local region's alpaca farms. These local herdsires included Smokey of Aussie Hill Alpacas, Antonio's Alianza Salute and The Alianza Prophecy of Sixth Day Farm and Snowmass Corazon from Northwoods Alpacas. As a result, we are now seeing the beautiful fleece in a variety of colors that you would expect from champion herdsires. Currently our females are bred to Snowmass Corazon (Northwoods Alpacas) and The Alianza Prophecy (Sixth Day Farm). In addition, we started breeding our farm's own award-winning male, Picchu's Love's Carmello, who is a Snowmass Condonar son! Carmelo possesses quite the blanket of dense fleece (21 micron-count)and we're looking forward to next season's crias with his genetics. Currently, we have 6 bred females, 3 maidens, 1 herdsire, 5 fiber males, 2 beautiful female crias and 4 very handsome male crias.
