Welcome to Wisdom of the Fox Alpacas.
We focus on raising a well-balanced herd of quality animals and our dedication shows in our herd’s excellent genetics, fleece and conformation.
We’re proud to have received tangible recognition of our effort to raise animals with excellent fleece. Several of our animals have received significant fleece show wins:
SSRMT Nevada was Judge’s Choice (over 108 other entries) in the 2010 Suri Network Spin-Off Competition.
WFAM Fire and Ice was Reserve Color Champion at the 2010 Suri Network Fleece Show.
WFAM Slip Stream took the Brown Color Championship at the 2007 Suri Network Fleece Show and was Reserve Color Champion at the 2007 Ohio Alpacafest.
We also have numerous ribbon winners from the halter classes including some color and reserve color champions:
WFAM Slip Stream - color and reserve color champion
WFAM Hot-Az-Ice - color champion at six months of age
WFAM Inca Sun - reserve color champion at his first three shows and first in his class at Nationals
There are hundreds of alpaca farms around the nation. Why work with us?
Honest business practices
We won’t sell you anything that does not fully meet your needs.
You’ll get honest, detailed information about every animal and product we sell.
Careful herd management
Healthy animals produce healthy fiber. Good management produces both.
Nutrition, especially forage, is a cornerstone to herd health and fiber quality. We will gladly share what we have learned, both our successes and mistakes, so you can apply it to your situation.
Quantitative data such as skin biopsies and fleece histograms, not show results, guide our breeding program. Ribbons and championships are an added bonus.
Quiet quality
We work constantly to improve the quality and consistency of our animals and fiber.
We want to help you to succeed with your endeavor, whether it is raising alpacas or creating something from their fiber.
