Why 101 Alpacas? Our 16 acre ranch is located right off Highway 101 in Prunedale California. Just 43 Alpacas so far, not 101….. We are dedicated to helping others get started in the alpaca business, and partnering with those who are already in the business so we can all succeed.
We are a family operated alpaca farm, run by Vicki and Dennis Rabe, with the help of Dennis’ parents Leonard and Cynthia. We provide alpaca consulting, agisting, ring training, showing and breeding. Please contact us to help you realize your alpaca ownership goals.
We purchased two female juvenile huacayas in 2003, and set about getting the ranch ready for them to arrive. After a frantic Summer and Fall of changing fences, and establishing pastures, we had the ranch ready for our “herd”. Now, several years later, Vicki runs the day to day operations, with Leonard and Cynthia’s help, and on the weekends, Dennis continues to work on the list of ranch projects that never seems to grow smaller. Our herd has grown to 43 alpacas, and we currently agist 22 alpacas for other ranchers who are building their herds in preparation for their move to their new ranch homes.
