Alpaca Breeder Farm
Highland Alpaca is a small farm located in rural western Pennsylvania. We share the area with several small colleges and an Amish community. The farm began in 1998 with three pregnant females and three weanlings. From that modest beginning, we have won over fifty National awards, including blue ribbons in black, brown, and fawn and Champion ship banners in black and fawn. The finale to a great 2009 AOBA National Conference was the Reserve Color Champion for Fawn males (Lancaster's Highland Chieftain). We show extensively to prove the quality of our males and our breeding program. This all means great genetic diversity and an unbeatable return-breeding program for purchased females. Check out our website for further details.
We are both retired from our teaching positions and spend full time on the farm. After twelve years in the business, we continue to love the alpacas, the people we meet, and even the challenges of this dynamic industry. Please check out our farm website: www.HighlandAlpaca.com for additional information and then call to schedule a visit. We love giving our alpacas individual attention and enjoy the unique personalities that develop from our daily interactions. Our cria and bred females represent a variety of champion bloodlines for breeders getting started or looking to improve their herd. With the selection of quality breeding stock, we believe that small breeders have a place in this growing industry. From proven top quality animals,we offer sales, breedings, financing, boarding, and after-purchase support. All our sales to new breeders include free tuition to a neonatal clinic, a new breeder start-up kit, and of course, the assurance that there will always be someone to call upon when questions come up.
