A full Peruvian suri, Oxford has excellent locks, luster, density, and bone structure - and a magnificent presence! He has impeccable lineage from two of the most successful colored suri lines in North America.
Oxford's sire NGG Caezar is one of the best Accoyo Durazno offspring ever produced, and a multiple major show winner. Caezar is a proven homozygous male who exemplifies all the qualitative production traits Don Julio Barreda’s famous breeding program stands for. He is beautifully conformed, has excellent bone, and fine, lustrous fiber. Sired by the late and great Uribe (Durazno), Caezar can put serious color on the ground. Caezar produces stunning suri cria with extreme luster, fineness and lock, and beautiful heads with bearded chins, which typify the ideal suri type. He has won multiple ribbons and championships under multiple judges.
Oxford's dam Nikatia is a 2nd generation colored Alianza Suri, and has produced many show-winning suris, including Mahogany Prince, Grand Champion and the only domestically born alpaca to win herdsire of the year (and 2 years in a row).
Oxford himself has proven himself in the showring, taking a blue ribbon at the 2002 AOBA National Show and a 1st and Reserve Champion at the 2002 CABA show. He arrived from the West coast in 2003.
Oxford does well producing females - 11 out of 14 girls! His crias reflect Oxford's phenotype, with excellent locks, luster and density, with a classic suri wedge-shaped muzzle and thick topknot. Not only is he a presence in the paddock, but he passes this on to his (mostly female) crias! And, like his sire, he DOES throw color.
Consider what a asset Oxford would be to your breeding program!
