NEWSFLASH! SilverSun has really grown into his own & now his first cria is on the ground. A classic Silver Gray male was born at Havenfield Farm in October. Next year SilverSun will be expecting 4 new cria.
Sire, Aussie Rockford: Commanding a $5k stud fee, this gray 1/2 Accoyo Felix son, has offspring now, & has only had two white cria! He has been producing gray not only out of gray & black, but out of light/dark fawns & medium/dark browns. Rockford is EXTEMELY dense & with tht density, maintains a wonderful histogram. At 3 years of age, as a gray breeding male: AFD 21.5, SD 5.0, CV 23.4, & 4.4>30 microns. Renown fiber expert, Ian Watt, thought so highly of Aussie rockford, that he used him to cover his black & gray females several years ago.
Paternal Granddam, Hannahruh: Georgeous gray female originally owned by AOBA judge Diana Timmerman. At 8 years of ae, his histogram was AFD 22.1, SD 4.1, CV of 18.4, & 5.2>30 microns! She consistently shears 7 pounds, & has superb conformation. She is also the maternal granddam of Aussie Guns and Roses, Aussie Dillinger & 38 Special!
Maternal Grandsire, Victor's Vaccoyo: Victor's Vaccoyo is perhaps the most wel-known Victor son there is. He has produced cria in all of the 22 natural colors & consistently passes on his phenomenal fleece characteristics of crimp & density to his offspring. For years, Vaccoyo was used for stud in Canada by the well respected internationa judge, Jane Tellier. He was sold to Sunset Hill's Alpacas & The Cria Barn. No more outside breeding are offered to this spectacular male so his genetics are quite limited.
