El Alcalde, or Calde for short, is an exceptionally well built herdsire. His bone structure is rock solid and super straight. He's repeatedly placed in the show ring due to his incredibly solid conformation, proud stance, balance of body, fleece density, coverage and fineness. Added to all of that is his rich chocolate brown coloring!
Calde's sire, CPeruvian MonteCristo could be bred to any color and would produce color virtually every time! MonteCristo now stands stud at Moss Acres Alpacas.
Calde's dam, Wind Chill, is an extremely dense female who regularly produces some of the heaviest fleece weights in her herd. Her sire is Peruvian Terror, one of the RAREST ACCOYO LINES!! Terror had less than 30 registered cria before his death. He was part of the 1994 Accoyo Importation, along with Caligula, Timoteo, Victor, Pluro, Camilio, Felix, Leon & Vengador! Peruvian Terror produced 100% color when bred to color and consistently added density, fineness & solid bone to his cria. El Alcalde is a male worthy of his grandsire's legacy!
The best of Monte & Chilly have come together in Calde. His staple length is nearly 5 inches with less than 12 months growth. His fleece has a great hand to it with fantastic luster and nice, even crimp.
If you need a male to add density, color and solid bone to your females, Calde is ready to go to work! El Alcalde has produced only colored cria, even out of several white females. He has also produced more female than male cria.
Calde has been tested BVD negative.
