Here is your pretty appaloosa herdsire with fantastic fiber!
Males are often passed over in favor of females but this young male is herdsire quality. With dense, crimpy fiber that is bright at the skin, excellent conformation, typey looks, and strong, colored and Accoyo genetics, he has lots to offer.
His dam, NEVABETTER is a dark brown daughter of Magical Farm's well known SILVER GREY Herdsire, CPERUVIAN SILVIO, a handsome, rare, extremely dense male with flawless conformation. Nevabetter is a strong, healthy foundation female with a proud, upright carriage who has proven to be a wonderful, protective mother and excellent milker. She gave us a female in 09 and a Trumpet Master in 2010, both with soft, uniform and crimpy fiber.
His Sire is ANTONO'S ALIANZA SALUTE, an amazing macho male; tall, correct and beautiful, with a squareness of frame and strong top line that has been passed on to his offspring.
A powerhouse of genetics, Salute is the son of MR. ANTONIO, and grandson of the famous sire PERUVIAN HEMINGWAY G171 and PPPERUVIAN SALUTATION. An active breeder, Salute now has 17+ registered cria on the ground and more on the way. He has been in five major shows and taken ribbons in the very competitive white male Huacaya class at every one. More important than show ribbons, however, are objective statistics.
Salute’s fiber is his major strength with a softness of handle that is impressive. Testing done by both Dr. Norm Evans and Jim Watts of Australia proved Salute to be in the top echelon of sires from a fiber standpoint. Dr. Norm Evans’ skin biopsy reported his S/P ratio, (the ratio of secondary to primary fibers in the skin,) as a remarkable 18:1. In his words"...This is extreme. The average for huacayas is between six and seven to one..." Salute's fleece is extremely dense, and shows a very high frequency crimp in staples with small bundles.
