Miss Priss is daughter of the premier dam in the country,Misty Maiden. Misty Maiden is a legend in the alpaca world. She arguably is the best producing dam ever. Her cria alone have accumulated over 70 championships.
We bought Miss Priss as a 2-day old crimpy lil thing. As time went on our hopes of a Misty Maiden Golden Princess revealed itself. Miss PRiss and Quolmesa Crystal are the core of our breeding program.

It was quite fun and educational taking Miss Priss to shows. It got to be quite embarassing how the judges would go on and on about how great an alpaaca Priss was.

Like her mother like daughter,Priss' first daughter, Prisstine Twist, is a 4x Champion 14 months old! Who'd thunk it?

The PRISStine Miss Priss Show Record includes 12 championships and over 20 Blues. Miss Priss has been bred to the incredible Tuscan Gold for a summer 09 offspring. In July 07, Priss gave birth to a gorgeous Champion female, Prisstine Twist!

So what made Miss PRiss so great? Well, even today, we have not came across another alpaca with all of Priss' fiber characteristic traits.
She is extremely dense yet extremely fine. She showed with a micron of 16-17 and a CV of 18. Her fiber had extreme staple length, but as Wade Geese pointed out in one show, she was SOO crimpy that it "looked" like her fiber was short....Until you pulled out her crimp straight! Her crimp, Mike Safely called elite crimp. Scissor crimp as some call it. High frequency at that. She had exceptional brightness. Her crimp was everywhere from ankles to topknot. She had incredible coverage and perfect conformation. Large boned and excellent bredth of chest.
Priss was so great, that we turned down an offer of $310,000 for her back in 2006. THAT was tough to do, its a long story.

Priss comes from a long line of champion siblings (over 70 Championships among Misty Maiden offspring thru 6/09). This remarkable championship record is unparalled by any other female bloodline in the country. And this is why she has earned the right to be called "THE Dam of the Century" We feel Miss Priss represents the best of Misty Maiden production, dominating her show classes in the modern era of higher level competition.

The amazing thing here is All Priss's siblings had DIFFERENT sires!!! It certainly doesnt hurt any that Miss Priss's sire is the incredible 9x Champion, Apollo. We believe that Priss had the best sire of all Mistys crias.

A few years back, Priss' grandsire sold for a record breaking $600k and her 14 year old dam sold for a record $205k. .The AlpacaRosa is excited to start the PRISStine bloodline.
