Arbutus is a FULL FOURTH GENERATION suri with great genetics behind him on both sides of his pedigree. He has two ribbon-winning parents and comes from well-acclaimed bloodlines. He is half Bolivian, half Peruvian and has only suris on his pedigree.

Arbutus has high luster with fine, independent pencil locks and good coverage. His conformation and bite are perfect. He has no white markings whatsoever, and his sire, dam and two grandsires are also solid dark colored animals with no white spotting. His luster is intense, and his locks are slick. He's the color of a shiny copper penny and he absolutely GLOWS as he runs around the pasture.

His dam, Madrona, placed 1st at the prestigious International Alpaca Oddssey in Del Mar, CA. Madrona's dam, Cinnamon Twist, is a full peruvian Meteor daughter and Peruvian Aureo grand-daughter.

Arbutus' sire is Macgyver's Harley who is a FULL brother to Reserve Herdsire of the Year Captain Morgan. And Harley's sire Macgyver has been suri herdsire of the year for five years running --- no other suri even comes close to this record, and, of course, his sire is the famous Accoyo Bruxo.
