Peruvian Grandstander is the son of PPPeruvian Accoyo Grand Master 6019, who is well known for producing winning offspring with very fine, dense fleeces with incredible brightness. He has also been known to pass along color from the dam's genetic lineage. Grand master is a 50/50 Signature herdsire and yields over 10 lbs. of fleece in one shearing. He remained a fine fleeced animal until the end of his life commanding a stud fee of $5,000.
Grandstander is an Accoyo/Allianza eyecatcher, who has gleaming white fleece with high frequency deep bold crimp and the fineness and density that will be needed to breed the outstanding white animals that are the future of our fiber industry. He has a lingering fineness and remains an Elite breeding male. Dr. Norm Evans placed Grandstander in the top 1 1/2% of the animals he has tested by skin biopsy. You will never feel an animal this dense and at this age! At the Carolina Alpaca Celebration, Wade Geese couldn't say enough about him, stating that he looks like a young male, commenting on his large bone and looking as a macho should look. Grandstander has it all!
At the 2006 Northern Illinois Alpaca Extravaganza show, the judge placed him at the head of a large, competitve class. He has amazing staple length, density and crimp from the top of his head to the tips of his toes. He stands very regal and proud, but remains very easy to handle. He is so gentle that he has been shown in a Junior Showmanship class and has won a Blue Ribbon there as well. Grandstander took another Blue Ribbon in a large competitive White Yearling Male Halter class (IS THERE A TOUGHER CATEGORY?)at the Ohio Alpacafest 2007. The judge commented at length on his strong frame, perfect conformation, fineness and density. But, he was most impressed with the consistency of his fleece from shoulder to flank to hip and from top to mid-line to belly.
He is an magnificent breeding male and has cria on the ground, they are beautiful with fabulous fleeces. He is also throwing color, with a fawn little cria on the ground. Don't miss out on this opportunity for a low cost breeding while they last at $1000. Book your breeding now.
