Sonny is without question a gift from above. Full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo,solid white.Two Time National Show Color Champion, once in halter and once in fleece.His fleece has taken a blue ribbon at the National Show 7 times now including special awards for Best Lock, Color Champion,Breeders Choice, and Judges Choice. Sonny is also a Two Time Futurity Color Champion. 15 times he has been awarded either Champion or Reserve Champion banners and about 40 blue ribbons under 15 different judges. We believe this makes Sonny just about the most decorated suri out there that was raised naturally in his pasture and not locked up in a barn or paddock to artificially keep him clean. We will not abuse our animals to win a ribbon.The AOBA Rulebook constantly changes and Pine Valley Suri Farm watches it closely and has not and will not break those rules for showing alpacas.Approx.1/3 of Sonny's offspring have also been awarded Championship banners, this is important because we did not screen his breedings. Luster and fineness are the most important traits for suri fiber and Sonny excells in those catagories. His sire and dam both are extremely fine with exceptional luster.
We have now sold 1/2 interest of Sonny to Gail and Paul Wasserstein of Andean Vista Ranch in Illinois and are really excited about breeding him to some of their special girls.

SONNY is one of the most decorated suri alpacas in the country! He currently has 15 Championships including Color Champion at the 2002 AOBA Nat. Show and 2002 AAA Futurity and 2003 AAA Futurity He has a total of about 40 Blue Ribbons and many more special awards. Want to talk temperment? At 3 yrs old Beth entered him in Open Showmanship at MAPACA and took First Place. UPDATE- 2004 AOBA National Show, Sonny's second fleece is the best suri fleece at the show!!! winning First Place, Color Champion, Best Lock, Breeders Choice, and JUDGES CHOICE!! He scored 19.5 points out of a possible 20 for LUSTER and 19 points out of 20 for FINENESS and HANDLE! This second shearing was 8 inches long and and had never been washed. Pine Valley Suri Farm has never illegally enhanced or altered a suri fleece and never will! 2004 OABA Alpacafest Fleece Show Sonny wins again! FIRST PLACE, CHAMPION, JUDGES CHOICE, BEST LOCK, BEST LUSTER! They do not get any better than this.
