Luna Rosa's Robin Day has this to say about Silver Edition:
"Silver is one of the finest pencil-locked, highest luster gray suris we've seen. He is medium gray, with patches of mahogany, and the classic white tux."
His sire is a 19 micron FULL brother to Captain Morgan, the suri reserve herdsire of the year 2005,2006,2007,2008 -- also known for the luster and locks he puts on his crias. Silver's grandsires are Macgyver (on the sire's side) and the lusturous true black suri Admiral (on the dam's side). His paternal great grandsire is the incomparable Accoyo Bruxo. Lineage like this in gray is almost unheard of!
Silver's first show went well - he placed 1st at the Level 5 AlpacaPalooza 2008, placing over WWR Prince Greystone (Condor son) cria. The judge specifically commented on his excellent handle and consistency. He is very soft and silky and in fact, his fiber sold off his back at the show. That fiber has been made into an incredible shawl...photos coming soon!
His 2nd show also went well -- he was in the ring with Jim Weir and Pistol cria among others. There are only three Level 5 shows in the West and Silver has now placed in the top three at two of them (didn't go to Denver, the other)!
*Silver had his first breeding a few days ago (August 09) and handled it like an old Pro! We are waiting for confirmation.**
