100% Accoyo and 100% quality, this Felix son is the latest addition to our herdsire row. A couple of years ago we let our Felix son go figuring that you can't keep them all. Low and behold, the following year we stood below a new farm in the show ring. After this alpaca won the Color Champion, we inquired who the sire was and of course she happened to be the first offspring of the Felix son we used to own. Sooooo after a short bout with seller's remorse, we decided to reintroduce the Felix line to our breeding program. We think we have found a gem in Finito.
Finito is a prototypical Felix son that exhibits great fineness, density and staple length. He is average in size, with a stylish head and has thrown color. He has proven himself in the show ring taking blue at the Kentucky Classic as well as blue at AOBA nationals in fleece.
Finito's crowning achievement came in 2002 when he won the prestigous Fred Walker Trophy for his former owner, Carol Znider of Tanasi Trace. This award is given to the highest scoring fleece for a first time exhibitor at the AOBA National Conference.
Finito's offspring are picking up where he left off. His son, Decatur Trace is a multiple Color Champion in fleece, taking purple at the Southern Select show and CABA. Even though he is white, he has produced rose gray and brown.
We are proud to co-own this magnificent male with the Merriwether's of Nyala Farms in New York. Finito will be standing stud in Michigan this spring before heading to New York in fall.
