1 Hour Auction
Great New Features just added!
Finally, an on-line auction that makes sense from both a marketing standpoint and a budget standpoint! A nation-wide audience will be able to view and bid on your alpacas from the comfort and convenience of their own home. And, it won't take weeks or months to find out the results! The entire auction will be completed in about an hour!
All the alpacas will be displayed on the 1 Hour Auction page for 1 week prior to the auction. Viewers can click the "info" button on any alpaca to go to its page on the owner's AlpacaStreet.com site to find out more information about it.
The AlpacaStreet.com 1 Hour Auction will be a fast-paced "Dutch" auction that will present alpacas for sale in a right around 1 hour! A panel of alpacas will be shown with a starting Buy Now amount displayed at the top of the page. The Buy Now amount represents the amount that any one of the alpacas can be purchased for at that point in time. The Buy Now amount will decrease every few seconds until all alpacas are either sold or have hit their reserve amount.
Once an alpaca is sold, the "Buy" button will be replaced with a "SOLD" for all viewers except the person making the purchase, who will see "You Win!". That alpaca will no longer be available for the auction (see lot 10 above). If a person attempts to purchase an alpaca below the reserve amount set by the Seller, the person attempting the purchase will see "Offer Made" appear over the BUY button, while the rest of the viewers will see "Pending" appear over the BUY button. The Seller will be given the bid amount made as an offer. For "Offer Made" situations, both parties are then free to enter into negotiation to try to arrange a purchase.
Buyers like the convenience of bidding from home! You'll love the fast pace and excitement!
Once all the alpacas on a panel are sold or have hit their reserve, a new panel of 6 alpacas will be presented and the process will start over again. There can be up to 8 lots on each panel. A 'lot' can be a single alpaca or a package.
