1 hour Auction Before You Get Started

Welcome to the AlpacaStreet.com 1 Hour Auction.  Before you get started, we would like to point a few things to make sure your 1 Hour Auction experience is a good one!

Terms and Conditions

All participants must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the 1 Hour Auction

Registering to Bid

In order to bid on the 1 Hour Auction, you must be registered and logged in.  Registration is free.  Click the Log in/Register button on the top of this page to register.  Stay logged in during the auction if you wish to bid.

The Auction Process

The 1 Hour Auction is made up of 7 panels; each displaying 6 alpacas.  One panel at a time will be displayed with 6 alpacas on it.  A starting bid is displayed at the top of the page.  This bid amount represents the amount you can pay for any one of the alpacas on that panel.  The bid amount will decrease every few seconds until someone buys the alpaca or the bid goes below the Reserve amount the seller has set for his/her alpaca. Shortly after all the alpacas on the panel have been sold or their Reserve amounts have been reached, the panel is replaced with another panel of 6 alpacas and the process starts over again.

Alpaca Information

During the 1 Hour Auction, you can click tthe blue "INFO" button on each of the alpaca displays to be taken to the full listing of that particular alpaca.  To return to the auction, click the back arrow.

Placing a Bid

During the 1 Hour Auction, you can place a bid by clicking the green "Buy" button on each of the alpaca displays. IF YOU CLICK THE "Buy" BUTTON, YOU BOUGHT THE ALPACA AT THE PRICE DISPLAYED AT THE MOMENT YOU CLICKED IT unless the price is below the Reserve Amount set by the Seller.  You click it, You win it! If you win the bid, the "Buy" button will be replaced with a red "You Win" button. If the shown amount is below the Reserve Amount, you will see "Below Reserve" when clicking the button and no sale will be made.

Helpful Hints:

• If your screen does not respond or freezes, refresh it (click the F5 key).
• If you are having difficulty seeing all 6 alpacas at one time, click "Ctrl" and the "-" at the same time.

We recommend Mozzilla Firefox as the browser for the optimum auction experience.
