 Leave it to resourceful people to respond to challenging economic conditions with creative ideas. Bill and Lori Oraschin of Harley Hill Farm  and Brad and Tammy Jacobs of Steeple View Alpacas  have teamed up with other alpaca breeders for a unique event called the Mommy & Me Alpaca Sale; billed to be the largest collection of 3 in 1 packages for sale found anywhere in the country.

One of the joys of alpaca breeding has always been getting to know and work with other alpaca breeders. When a group of breeders come together for an event, that event benefits from the combined creativity and experience of each of the participants. It also speaks well of the alpaca industry when new people see alpaca breeders working together for mutual success.

The Mommy and Me Alpaca Sale provides "newbies" with an educational opportunity that is fun, relaxing and entertaining. The event will offer several seminars dealing with everything from the business of alpacas to evaluating them and even preparing fleece. Of course, there will be plenty of great food.

Over 12 breeders will take part in the Mommy and Me Alpaca Sale offering their very special alpacas for sale.  They are coming from Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Some of the featured breeders include Brooklyn Alpacas , Wool & Gray Alpacas  , and Warford Creek Alpacas  . This collection of breeders assures those attending the event will get to see a great selection of both suri and huacaya alpacas.  The day wraps up with a patriotic Mommy & Me Parade followed by an auction of the 3 in 1 packages.

There is a lot of activity planned for a single-day event. This makes going there worth the effort because everyone is sure to come away with more knowledge, a few more friends, and maybe a "Mommy & Me" package.
