The next major step for the Cottage Alpaca Industry starts NOW!
The Cottage Industry Alpaca Breeders Association (CIABA) has announced an exciting new fleece event designed to build the alpaca fiber industry. The Unskirted Fleece Event will be held on October 14-16th, 2011 at the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular and Fiber Event. Fleeces will be evaluated by professional fleece sorters, and every fleece evaluated will be given a write up indicating its best use. Participants may mail in their fleeces or bring them them to the show, but all fleeces must be pre-registered, as there is a limited quantity of fleeces that can be accepted for evaluation. Registration opens August 16th.
