| These dog sweaters are made of 100 percent handspun alpaca yarn. We have our own alpaca farm. We shear the animals once a year and use our own fiber for these sweaters. The first picture shows our dog wearing her first alpaca sweater. You have a choice of either of the two sweaters in the second photograph. These items are 100 percent alpaca so spot cleaning or hand washing only. They are 10 inches in length, and 13 inches in diameter at the widest point. |

Felted Nuno Scarf

| Scarf- ol- o gy: You may not ever want to wear these acarves.You may not be a scarf person. That is O.K. The only purpose of these scarves is to bring happiness! Buy one for it's beauty even if you won't wear it. Keep it somewhere where you can see it or dance with it and it will bring you happiness. I have made these scarves by hand. Some are cobweb felt which means it is made completley of fiber, very delicate & gossomer like. There is no backing on it. Or there can be a silk backing and then you have a Nuno scarf. I make both types in in similar ways. First I take wisps of fiber, lay them down & possibly add some ribbon our other fiber yarns. Then I wet down the whole piece with warm soapy water. Then I gently massaged it with my hands until it becomes a whole new seamless fabric..no longer just wisps of fiber. This is what felting means. Those scarves pictured here may have already been sold but they give you an idea of what these "happy scarves" look like. More will posted soon. You may also want to get in touch with me to have a cutom scarf made in the colors you or a friend may want. I have yet to make any 2 alike. So your gift would be one of a kind. $35.00 is the price of a scarf which is about 6/7 inches wide & about 5 feet long. I often add fringe to make them longer and add some weight so the scarf stays in place. So there are extras that can be added which would change the price. Embellishment would be another extra..a little glitz or a lot? vintage buttons? lots of fringe? not so much fringe? Or maybe a certain theme: burgandies and greens would look like wine for someone who loves wine. Blues and Greens for someone who loves the ocean. Maybr colors of a sunset. I'm sure you get the idea! |
