Over the next few months, AlpacaStreet.com will be introducing a steady flow of features directed at focusing the attention of the alpaca world on breeding excellence. This effort will begin with the introduction of a very accomplished group of breeders known as the League of Champions. The League of Champions are breeders who have demonstrated excellence in their breeding program through the acquisition or development of Championship bloodlines. Some of the members of the League of Champions are considered small breeders, and as such, often do not receive the attention they deserve the quality they bring to the alpaca community. Some are not-so-small breeders who have established a significant presence in their respective regions of the country, but who may not be as well known in other regions. Regardless of size, every member of the League of Champions has made an impact on the alpaca world and is worthy of consideration by those seeking to develop excellence in their own breeding program. The following breeders have have achieved a minimum of 12 championships in halter and fleece competitions. The alpaca community does well to recognize such achievement as as an essential aspect to its continued growth as both a livestock and a fleece industry. ~Charter Members~ For more information on the League of Champions, including qualifications for membership, Click here.
