Welcome to the Alpaca Breeders of Vermont (ABOV) We are an organization dedicated to promoting Vermont alpaca farms. Our members welcome your inquiries and farm visits. We encourage you to plan a visit to our beautiful state to learn more about alpacas from some of the best in the industry. The business of raising alpacas has grown dramatically since the animals first arrived in this country in the early 1980's. Vermont, with its deep-rooted agricultural traditions, ideal moderate climate and large percentage of open farmland, has grown to be the leading producer of alpacas in New England. Vermont boasts some of the finest alpaca farms in the country, some of the most respected and knowledgeable breeders and an outstanding selection of superior quality alpacas. |
