Heavenly Sunset Farm is family-owned and operated. The partnership is made up of Gail and Carolyn Clark and their son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Susan Clark. We are located in New York State's southern tier near the Pennsylvania border at Woodhull, 25 miles west of Corning, NY.
Our alpaca business began in September of 2005 with six animals. Today our herd is made up of 44 alpacas. A great deal of research and numerous farm visits took place prior to making our first purchases. We learned from successful breeders that it is imperative to breed for superior quality - both fleece and conformation. We have consistently followed that plan and now have a collection of animals from the "best of the best" bloodlines. Our herd includes 15 breeding quality males and 29 beautiful females. Their sires are Snowmass Invincible, Dom Lucilio, Shaquille, ELK Hercules, Sterling Apoclypse, Chase Tavern Blackstar, MFI Cessna, Shepherd's Creek El Zorro, Brookhollow's El Nino Royale, Brookhollow's Alonzo and Nova's Augustus. Our space is limited so we need to sell a number of these fine animals in order to continue our breeding program. All of the males are proven or ready to begin their breeding career, with the exception two 2011 junior herdsires. Each of the females have desirable lineages, including many of the above-mentioned herdsires and other popular bloodlines. Here is an opportunity to introduce(or add more of)these superb genetics to your herd to prepare for the growing fleece markets. We're ready to negotiate price and terms or package deals. Give us a call to discuss the herd or, better yet, schedule a farm visit for an up close and personal view of the entire herd.
We take pride in herd management standards that ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for each alpaca. Their pleasant personalities are a bonus!!
Our farm store, "Heavenly Soft Fibers," features a variety of alpaca products imported from Peru as well as raw fleece, rovings, and yarn from our own animals. We also offer items made by local crafters using yarn from our aimals. Socks are best sellers and we have them for the entire family. The store is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and any other time by appointment. Just call us at(607)458-5499.
