Nyala Farm Alpacas specializes in show quality
colored Peruvian Huacayas, Accoyos and colored
Accoyos.

Our farm's expertise in genetics is unique in the
industry, Dr. Andrew Merriwether is a geneticist
who studies human and animal population
genetics and evolution. Dr. Ann Merriwether is
developmental psychologist who has taught
genetics for years.

Our herd is full Peruvian, many full accoyo, all
show quality from amazing bloodlines. We offer
free genetic consulting on breeding with any
animals purchased from Nyala Farm Alpacas. Let
us help you make the color and quality alpacas you
want to make. We are pleased to offer a full line of
genetic testing services in addition to animal sales
and support.

We love genetics but we love every aspect of the
alpaca industry. We really enjoy the family
orientation of the industry. We love going to alpaca
shows and meeting other farms. We show our
alpacas in halter, fleece, and performance.

We are "fiberholics" We love alpaca fiber and use
our own fiber to make hats, slippers, Christmas
items (stockings ornaments and Santa dolls) We
can teach spinning, dyeing, and especially wet and
dry felting. We co-lead an alpaca 4-H group which
usually meets at our farm.

For added fiber fun we also raise Wensleydale
sheep, Jacobs Sheep and Angora Rabbits.
