Alpaca Breeder Farm
We will begin construction on our dream log home this fall. This will lead to another dream; a Bed and Breakfast in conjunction with the alpaca ranch. We will use the original home for the basis of the B&B with extra rooms in the log house as needed. The house is more like a museum and is quite unique. We will add pictures and info to our "services" listing as we get closer to completion.
We have been careful not to place quantity over quality and have chosen our herd for their individual traits, not their heritage. We are strong believers that diverse genetics are necessary for sound breeding at this point in the industry. For instance, we have a lot of black genetics. They are not from one or two herdsires, but 10 of the best imported true black herdsires and 5 True Black imported dams. We have 3 True Black herdsires including 1/2 interest in Don Onyx el Jefe (with Kristina and Joanna Flagel of Dos Donas Alpacas) for a total of 3 on our farm! Our True Black WLK Lunar Eclipse (co-owned with Mike and Janet Wilkins, Wilkins Livestock) has turned from a True Black to a Silver Gray, in addition to Jump'n Jack Flash and Prime Time. USA Ringo has his first crias on the ground and they are everything we hoped for! We recently bought 2 more from Andy Tillman, the well known champion Rocky Red and Bring on the Girls, an extreemly nice white out of the Peruvian Huacho line, as are Ricochet and Samurai! We also have a marketing arangement with Michael Pierce of Co-Rect Farms; maintining a small herd of select suris and huacayas and offering some exceptional cria out of this breeding program.
